Winter It Is..

It’s rough winter approaching,

The coldness slipping in,

Numbness seeping through open wounds,

Juggling between a blanket and a steaming mug of coffee,

Trying holding back to the warmth,

But the sun hardly shone through the clouds,

And slowly the coffee gets cold too,

Freezing, I think of the last summer well spent,

And again the yearning comes back,

To move out there in the sun.

Winter, wrapped in your depths,

 I wish it won’t be just gloom,

And, I could stop pretending,

Being the invincible summer bloom...

My world was all black and white, till you came. With you came the colours, a vibrant red of love, a soothing yellow of the heart and a peaceful white of the soul.

But you left. All very sudden.

Sadly in love and happily in fight,
Trying desperately to be one.

Solitude

I had my own share of dreams,
Of those magical ones,
Where I am the princess,
And you, the prince ruling my heart,
It was that wonderful beginning,
With those unsaid words,
And volumes spoken in silence,
With all joy in togetherness,
And love showered upon,
It was all I had dreamt of,
Or nearly so , Until-
Everything started falling apart,
The love I looked for,
Was never even there,
And all this time,
I have been comforted by a lie,
You were never close, even remotely,
And promises were words of the past,
Silence was still there,
Because words were too many.
And now you are gone,
I am still there, 
Only, instead of my dreams,
Its tears all I have now...
